With the current
COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, Blue Breeze has taken special measures to help
tackle the epidemic and reduce its impact if at all possible. We have been
monitoring the Government’s guidelines and are working to ensure that we follow
the latest guidance on cleaning.
Specific steps Blue
Breeze is taking include:
- Training our staff members to properly, safely and effectively carry out the cleaning.
- Ensuring that our staff members follow manufacturer’s instructions (COSHH) when using chemicals.
- Using professional specialist equipment and cleaning products (Selden Extreme T500, Selden Selsafe T011) which are highly effective against pathogens and significantly reduce the risk of passing the infection on to other people. These cleaning products are bleach free, non-toxic, non-tainting and safe to use on all common water washable surfaces, including food contact surfaces.
- Cleaning and disinfecting of all commonly touched surfaces thoroughly and regularly (door faces and handles, handrails, lift operation panels, lift interiors, light/door release switches, window handles, , phones, desks, equipment, mice, keyboards, chair arms, kitchen surfaces, appliances, toilets etc.).
- Using centrefeed paper towels instead of cloth whenever possible.
- Providing appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) to our staff members.
- Bagging and discarding disposable PPE once cleaning operation is completed.
- Implementing specialist deep cleaning that is designed to disinfect everything in the room including sanitizing the air with Fogging Machine. The cleaning solution and sanitiser (STERI-7 XTRA) we use for the air sanitizing has been laboratory tested and proven to kill 99.9999% of microbes including SARS. During the air sanitizing process all – even hard to reach – surfaces, i.e. textiles, are sanitized.
We fully value our staff members who are the greatest assets to our company and therefore – additionally to the Government’s guidelines on the basic protective measures (such as washing their hands frequently with soap and water, practicing respiratory hygiene; avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; what to do if they have symptoms etc.)- we also encourage them to take a particularly good care of their own and their families’ health by strengthening their immune systems in order to successfully overcome this difficult time.
